Accessibility
We build smiletianclothing.shop to be usable by as many people as possible, and we treat an accessibility barrier as a defect rather than a feature request. This page sets out what we have done, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us when something does not work for you.

This summary is for convenience. The full terms below are what apply.
1. Our commitment
We are committed to making this store usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification, speech input or other assistive technology. Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at Level AA.
We consider this an ongoing obligation, not a box that gets ticked once. Accessibility is checked as part of building any new page.
2. What is in place
- Semantic structure. Real headings in a logical order, real lists, real tables with headers, and landmark regions so a screen reader can navigate the page by structure.
- Keyboard access. Every link, button, form field, filter and the before-and-after slider can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. The slider steps with the left and right arrow keys.
- Visible focus. A high-contrast focus ring is shown on every focusable element. Focus indication is never removed.
- Skip link. A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing in the tab order on every page.
- Colour contrast. Body text, headings and interface text meet at least 4.5:1 against their background. The primary call-to-action button exceeds 7:1. Colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
- Images. Every meaningful image has descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked so assistive technology skips them.
- Forms. Every field has a visible, permanently associated label — never a placeholder used as a label. Errors are announced, described in words rather than colour alone, and linked to the field they belong to. Required fields are marked in text.
- Reduced motion. When your operating system requests reduced motion, all animation, transition and smooth scrolling is switched off.
- Live updates. Adding an item to the cart announces itself politely to screen readers. Nothing opens a panel or moves focus without your action.
- Zoom and reflow. The site reflows to a single column and remains usable at 200% zoom and at a 320px viewport width without horizontal scrolling.
- Language. The page language is declared so screen readers use the correct pronunciation.
3. Known limitations
We would rather tell you about these than let you discover them:
- The before-and-after slider is visual. It compares two photographs of the same closet. Both images have full alternative text describing what each shows, and no information exists only inside the comparison — but the visual effect itself cannot be conveyed non-visually.
- The background video on the home page has no narration or dialogue and carries no information not stated in the text beside it. It is decorative, muted, and has a still poster image. It does play automatically; if this is a problem for you, tell us and we will prioritise a control for it.
- Product photography shows colour and finish that some visitors will not be able to distinguish. Materials and dimensions are always given in text as well.
4. How we assess it
We test with keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom to 200%, automated auditing tools, and contrast measurement of every text and interface colour pair. We have not yet commissioned an independent third-party audit; when we do, we will publish the result here.
5. Tell us about a barrier
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to know — and we will treat it as a bug to be fixed, not a suggestion to be considered.
- Email support@smiletianclothing.shop with “Accessibility” in the subject line.
- Call +1 1419386957, Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00 Eastern Time.
- Write to us at 8610 N Sherman, Miramar, Florida 33025, United States.
Tell us the page, what you were trying to do and what assistive technology you were using if you can. We acknowledge within 2 business days and give you a target date for a fix.
If you cannot use the site to place an order, call or email us and we will take the order directly and read you every relevant safety and fabric note. There is no price difference for ordering this way.
